Jonathan Miller Physiotherapist

Jonathan specialises in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and has a clinical interest in shoulder pathologies. Jonathan is accredited to treat TASS Athletes (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) from over 24 sports and is currently working with the GB Womens Water Polo squad, which has included him traveling to international competitions in France and Holland, and the GB Badminton team. He has recently completed an MSc research project into the 'Efficancy of Pre-Operative Physiotherapy for Rotator Cuff Surgery'. His research has enabled him to work closely with Shoulder Rehabilitation Specialists such as Jo Gibson as well as many prominent Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeons. Jonathan has been the Chief Investigator of ‘Best Practice Physiotherapy Research’ and responsible for audits following Physiotherapy guidelines. He has recently been awarded a Masters Degree in Science of Sports Injury and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Science of Sports Injury and Sports Physiotherapy. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine www.acpsm.org and works with TASS Athletes www.tass.gov.uk across the North West.
Jonathan is qualified to use Acupuncture and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists www.aacp.org.uk, is a member of the Health Professions Council www.hpccheck.org and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy www.csp.org.uk
Jonathan has worked as an experienced outpatient Senior physiotherapist at Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust. He has also worked with many rugby clubs such as St. Judes, Haydock RLFC and Waterloo RUFC. Jonathan started his career as a Royal Marine and during his nineteen years service he represented the Marines at both Football and Rugby and developed a keen interest in sport science before commencing on his physiotherapy career. Jonathan brings a wealth of experience and clinical skills to I.Q Therapies.
